Congress dinner will take place on Thursday 7th July and its not included in the registration fees.
Dinner as cost of 35 € for non-students and 25 € for students.
Any field trip has an additional cost of 15€. Make your reservation when registering.
All field excursions will take place Wednesday, July 6th during the afternoon. Tickets for field excursions are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis (registration date).
Payment will be made in loco at the meeting venue.
Ilhavo
Undergoing renovation works between 2014 and 2016 the Vista Alegre museum intends to show the factory’s history, the aesthetic evolution of porcelain production and its significance in Portuguese society of the 19th and 20th centuries, through one of the most complete museum collections of that kind.
Besides the renovated exhibition rooms you may visit, as part of the Museum circuit, the Chapel honouring Nossa Senhora da Penha de França and the Oficina de Pintura Manual [hand painting workshop] of the Fábrica da Vista Alegre, where you will be able to see the delicate ceramic painting.
During your visit you may as well walk freely through the Lugar da Vista Alegre, to get to know the Bairro Operário da Fábrica (Vista Alegre Housing Facilities), which is an heritage of this industry’s history in Portugal, as well as of the culture and histories of the Vista Alegre’s employees.
At Lugar da Vista Alegre are as well opened to the public the Vista Alegre, Outlet and Bordallo Pinheiro stores.

The is an exhibition space, which takes place along the traditional cellars of Aliança Vinhos de Portugal.Comprising eight distinct collections, this museum deals with areas such as archeology, ethnography, mineralogy, paleontology, tiles, ceramics and tin smithing covering an impressive temporal extension with millions of years.
Inserted in the great universe of the Berardo Collection, these collections result from the constant care of the collector José Berardo, in immunizing pieces and works of art, of multiple origins and species, with sometimes historical and sometimes sentimental meaning.
The visit of the congress participants involves departure from Aveiro and a short trip by bus, a guided tour of the Aliança Underground Museum and a sparkling wine and Suckling Pig bread rolls tasting.

Estarreja
“Estarreja and Baixo Vouga Lagunar”
Ria de Aveiro is an ecosystem created, in part, by natural processes but also, to a great extent, by human action. By shaping the landscape of the Ria and Baixo Vouga Lagunar for agricultural and livestock productions and for salt production, the populations of this region have created a mosaic of habitats with a high value for biodiversity conservation. In the heart of this region, the municipality of Estarreja has created a set of interpretative trails integrated in the BioRia project. On this tour, we will visit the network of BioRia trails in the Baixo Vouga Laguna region, where participants can enjoy guided walks through the landscape on foot, by bike or by electric vehicle (for participants with reduced mobility). Participants in this tour may also choose to take a guided tour to the urban art circuit, including art pieces scattered around the city of Estarreja, created as part of ESTAU (Estarreja Arte Urbana Festival).

Aveiro
Created in 1979, the Natural Reserve of S. Jacinto Dunes (RNDSJ) covers an area of approximately 996ha, of which 262ha correspond to the maritime area. Situated on the edge of the peninsula between Ovar and the village of São Jacinto, the RNDSJ is limited on the west by the Atlantic Ocean and on the east by one of the branches of the Ria de Aveiro. Corresponding to a well-preserved dune cordon consolidated by spontaneous vegetation, it encloses an area forested with maritime pine in order to fix the sandbanks. In the 1980s several artificial ponds were built and are now an important refuge for numerous birds, in particular the duck population of the Ria de Aveiro.
The RNDSJ, integrated in the Ria de Aveiro Special Protection Zone (Rede Natura 2000), includes different types of habitats: sea shore, beaches, primary dune, interdune zone and secondary dune, where a strip of well-preserved natural vegetation can be observed. It is also an area of particular interest for birdwatching.
Constituting a mandatory point of visit for all lovers of fauna and flora, participants will visit the Nature Interpretive Center and take a pedestrian trail “Nature Discovery Trail”.
